Where is the influence?

All available evidence suggests that video is still king when it comes to capturing an audience’s attention, and our own results confirm this. Pre-existing videos on our Facebook page saw the views rise a whopping 783%! This is good news because it means you don’t need a video as part of every successful social campaign. You can invest in one effective video (try to keep it short!) and get a lot of repeated leverage out of it. Regardless, you still need content. Something to post and then boost.

The second objective of this campaign was to increase our Facebook followership to above 5,000 (we calculated our spending based on a target of 6,000 as a measure of caution). If you read part 2 of this series you’ll know I poured some cold water on follower numbers as a meaningful measure. However, it’s the key measure people refer to when talking about “influences”, which is the actual focus of this article.
