J.D. Nevins Communications Inc. was officially established on May 23, 2017, in Toronto, Ontario. What started as a small, non-distributing corporation quickly grew into a full-service digital marketing agency with a clear mission.
Since launching as a fully virtual agency, we've helped businesses, educators, and creators turn ideas into clear, engaging digital experiences. From media production to content strategy, our focus is simple: make marketing easier to manage, smarter to run, and better at delivering real results.

Julian Smit
Co-Founder & CEOUnder Julian's leadership, J.D. Nevins Communications has evolved into a hub for creative problem-solving and scalable digital systems. His background as a senior producer and project manager shaped the agency's hands-on approach.
That experience led to the creation of STUDIO-J, we offer self-hosted platforms for agencies, freelancers, and production studios that want full ownership of their tools, data, and workflows. It's marketing infrastructure, without the friction.
Julian also co-founded BIYF Marketing, a content platform featuring articles, podcasts, and YouTube discussions on marketing and beyond. He hosts the BIYF Marketing podcast and YouTube channel, regularly speaking with industry leaders about trends, tools, and real-world experiences.
Outside of client work, Julian runs passion projects like OffGriddy.ca, exploring off-grid living and sustainable innovation—because creativity doesn't stop at marketing.
In 2019, Julian received the Woman of Inspiration SupportHER Award from the Universal Women's Network, reflecting our ongoing commitment to inclusive growth, mentorship, and community support through initiatives like MentorHER.
